The Ecological Significance of Mistletoe Webinar

9 August 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

BirdLife Australia’s ACT-Yass Birds on Farms project is excited to invite you to our webinar on ‘The Ecological Importance of Mistletoe’.

Mention mistletoe and most people think of a parasitic pest that kills its host tree. But nothing can be further from the truth. With almost 100 native species in Australia, mistletoe is an amazing little plant that punches high above its weight when it comes to supporting biodiversity.

Listen to experts Prof. Dave Watson (CSU) and Kristy Peters (BirdLife) as they discuss the ecological importance of mistletoe and its role in protecting the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater.

Join us on Wednesday August 9th at 7pm (AEST).
