Nepean Peninsula Landcare was formed in 2026 to assist individuals and groups who are engaged in volunteer environmental activities on the ‘pointy end’ of the Mornington Peninsula. We now have more than 30 members and we assist environmental volunteers in arranging and managing their working bees, providing environmental education and training, supplying literature, tools, PPE and other resources to help people in their bush regeneration activities. We also help with designing websites, managing email and contact lists and in other ways to grow the environmental volunteer community on the Peninsula.
We are involved in several weed biocontrol projects:
- CSIRO Sea Spurge Biocontrol
- CSIRO African Boxthorn Biocontrol and the
- PolyGone Project, which is investigating possible biocontrols for Polygala myrtifolia, the Nepean Peninsula’s most prolific exotic weed.
Membership of NPL is free of charge to all individuals and groups who are engaged in volunteer environmental activities on the ‘pointy end’ of the Mornington Peninsula.
