Holistic grazing and carbon farming training series Day 1:
The Mornington Peninsula Shire with support from the national Carbon Farming Outreach Program is excited to invite farmers and
graziers to a two-part training series on holistic grazing and grazing for profit.
This talk follows on from our April ‘seasonal conditions’ discussion with Agriculture Victoria. For the First session on April 30th we will be joined by Holistic Grazing expert Brian Wehlburg from Inside Outside Management.
Inside Outside offers regenerative training and consultation in the principles of Allan Savory’s Holistic Management; a decision-making framework that ensures decisions are environmentally, economically, and socially sound i.e. the triple bottom line. It enables farmers to develop a clear vision of the future they want and is applicable to all organisations and individuals. It equips farmers to understand the complex ‘whole’ that they manage, making decisions with outcomes that regenerate the environment.
TOPICS to be discussed:
• The foundations of holistic grazing and
decision making
• Principles and practices
• Using grazing charts
• Drought management
• Carbon farming
