Walk for a Cause 2024 – Caring for Koalas (DAY 1)

30 August @ 7:15 am - 5:15 pm

The Uniting Churches of Port Phillip region in conjunction with Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation (MPKC) are hosting the 2024 2 day “Walk for a Cause.” This year the community walk will specifically seek to assist in conservation efforts for koalas.

DAY 1 – We will walk along the Two Bays Trail where walkers will witness some of the amazing conservation work achieved by the volunteers from the Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation while experiencing some sensational scenery.

Today is the longest day with some initial steady climbing on rough bush trails, then great morning tea and lunch spots plus a mixture of scenic views and delightful bushland. A highlight will be the inspection of bushland replanted by Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation volunteers. A 12 seater bus will be available throughout the day for walker transportation between critical accessible points including the conclusion at Bushrangers Bay Car Park. (Walker Own transport arrangements otherwise encouraged)

Registration to all events throughout the day is free and tickets have been broken down into the below 2 options.

Seasoned walkers are invited to undertake the full trail with a core group whist others are invited to join for any of the options listed.

Please choose as many options as you would like to register for. Alternatively, refer to the Mt Martha Uniting Church website UPCOMING EVENTS to view the full itinerary or contact Peter @ mtmarthahoughs@bigpond.com for all enquiries.
