Main Creek Macroinvertebrate Training Day
27 March 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
FreeMain Creek Macroinvertebrate Training Day
Sunday 27 March
10am – 3pm
Baldry Crossing Picnic Area
Baldrys Road, Main Ridge
This will be followed up by a catchment survey of multiple sites along the creek on Sunday April 10, for anyone that would like the chance to have a solid day of putting the theory into practice.
Main Creek is a good quality site, with previous records of sensitive fauna such as dobsonsflies, stoneflies & mayflies – so it is a good chance to get some experience with bugs that you may not come across in more urbanised areas.
As with all our activities, you’ll need sturdy closed toe shoes and weather appropriate clothing as well as the requirement for COVID vaccination (2 doses).
Please register interest my emailing Adie Smith: maincreek@mplandcare.org.au.
