How to Control Rabbits on your Property

Rabbits are a direct threat to indigenous vegetation and seriously disadvantage native animals due to competition for food and habitat. They cause soil instability and land degradation, threatening the environment, undermining structural assets and contributing to losses in agriculture.

Come and learn how to effectively control rabbits on your property using best practice methodology.

Guest speakers and onsite demonstrations by:

  • Mornington Peninsula Landcare Network (integrated and coordinated pest control)
  • Timberscope (baiting and Fumigation or rabbit warrens)
  • Ian Peterson (ferrets)

You will learn about the tools available to reduce rabbit numbers and how to avoid off-target damage to wildlife.

Presented by the Mornington Peninsula Landcare Network as part of the ‘Partnering Against Pests on the Peninsula – a Landcare approach’ project.

Please wear suitable clothing for the weather and conditions, including hat, sunscreen and sturdy closed footwear.

There will be coffee and morning tea provided.
