The next BMLandcare activity is a farm visit/working bee at Rick and Monica Cid’s horse training property in Foxey’s Rd, Merricks North Sunday 19^th Nov, in 3 weeks’ time.

It should be an interesting morning hearing from Monica and Rick about their vision for their property including building biolinks for wildlife,  removing all the weeds and preserving remnant patches of native vegetation.

During the walk and talk across the property, we will be undertaking some basic weed control work including thistle removal, controlling sallow wattle (by “frilling and filling”) and also a demonstration and tips from our very own Dan about gorse control.

Starts at 10 am, talk/walk and work until 12.30 for a free BBQ.

Wear sturdy shoes/boots, gloves, and a hat. Tools will be provided.
