What species can we find hiding in one of Western Port’s incredible wetlands? 
Join Mornington Peninsula Intrepid Landcare on Sunday 13th September for a biodiversity adventure through Warringine Park, exploring the Bittern Coastal Wetlands Boardwalk as part of the 2026 Biodiversity Blitz on iNaturalist!
We’ll be wandering, wildlife spotting and learning how to use iNaturalist to identify and record the plants, birds, insects, fungi and other wildlife we find.
Never used iNaturalist? No worries! We’ll show you how it works – you just need to bring your curiosity.
And we’re making a day of it!
After the walk, we’ll head into Hastings for lunch at a local café/pub to compare our sightings, share our favourite finds and hang out with some fellow young nature lovers.
We’ll be exploring part of the UNESCO-recognised Western Port Biosphere Reserve – so come discover some of the incredible biodiversity right here in our own backyard.
