Greens Bush to Arthurs Seat Biolink
The MPLN’s “Greens Bush to Arthurs Seat Biolink” is an ongoing project to connect two significant areas of remnant vegetation, Arthurs Seat State Park and Mornington Peninsula National Park (Greens Bush) through weeding and fencing of remnants and revegetation across 28 private properties, bringing to life the exciting vision of the MPLN and the community. In addition to improving habitat and opportunities for movement across the landscape, native fauna will benefit from community pest control and nestbox installation.
Partner organisations include Mornington Peninsula Shire, Birdlife Australia (Morn Pen branch), Parks Victoria, Chisholm Tafe, Homesglen Tafe, Bunurong Land Council and local schools and cub/scout groups.
We are grateful to the Victorian State Government and PPWCMA for providing $300,000 through the Victorian Government’s Our Catchments, Our Communities initiative and a further $20,000 through the Victorian Landcare Grant program.
