SUMMARY:Koala Conservation Day - Arthurs Seat State Park
DESCRIPTION:Spend the morning with us and help improve koala habitat in the beautiful Arthurs Seat State Park\, Rosebud.  This is a great opportunity to learn about our environment and to spot local wildlife\, including koalas\, while helping us to remove invasive weeds. \nImportant Information: It is important you wear long pants and closed shoes as we will be walking through bush areas. Please bring sunscreen\, a hat\, gardening gloves\, water and snacks. We have a good chance of spotting wildlife in this area so don’t forget your camera! We will provide all tools and hand sanitiser. Please follow state government COVID restrictions. \nPlease park at the end of Seabrook Ave\, Rosebud at the entrance to Arthurs Seat State Park.  We will meet at the park entrance gate. Alternative parking is at the end of Marion Rd\, Rosebud. You can walk into the park from there through a gate and then immediately turn right and walk downhill past the last property on Marion Rd until you get to Seabrook Ave. \nYou must register your attendance here via Eventbrite. Please only register if you are definitely attending as space is limited.

DESCRIPTION:World Wetlands Day is fast approaching\, and will be celebrated once again at Boneo Park\, 312 Boneo Road\, Boneo on Sunday 31st January 2021. \nThe theme for this year is ‘Wetlands and Water’ and the event marks the 50th anniversary of the Ramsar treaty and 40th anniversary of Western Port being declared a Ramsar site. \nThe Mornington Peninsula Landcare Network will be in attendance with a dedicated Landcare marquee and display\, and of course it wouldn’t be World Wetlands Day without a famous Landcare Puppet show. \nThis is a free event\, all wecome! DESCRIPTION:With the holiday season upon us come on a hike through the Sheepwash Creek Catchment Landcare area\, walking through Arthurs Seat State Park and past the OT Dam. \nThe hike will take 2 and a half hours and you’ll need good walking/hiking shoes.
