DESCRIPTION:Invasive pest animals are a big problem impacting on biodiversity and catchment assets and farm productivity on the Mornington Peninsula. SUMMARY:The Bradley Method of Sensitive Weed Control
DESCRIPTION:Joan and Eileen Bradley developed a series of weed control and native vegetation recovery techniques know as the ‘Bradley method’. It involves methodically clearing small areas in and around healthy native vegetation so that each area is re-colonised by the regeneration of native plants\, replacing the weeds. Join us on Saturday 17th August to wrap up the great work of the last 5 months by the planting the final 1000 trees and shrubs at our Balnarring to the Bay Biolink project this weekend.\n\n\n\nRegister for your planting Day Pass here: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/982921694247\n\n\n\n       Saturday 17th August\, 9am–12pma\n       Saltbush (Presentation Family Centre)\n       122 Balnarring Beach Road Balnarring\, VIC 3926\n\n* At the sign for Saltbush\, follow the long driveway until you reach the carpark. From there\, there is a 600m walk (or MCC Landcare buggy ride  to the planting site.\n\n\n\nThe plan for the day:\n\n8:30 am – 9:00 am: Sign in and walk to the planting site (~600m)\n9:00 am – 9:20 am: Briefing and planting demonstration**\n9:20 am – 12:00 pm: Planting lots and lots of trees\n\n– Morning tea break included\n\n\n\n** Note: We will begin the demo at 9:00am sharp\, however please allow at least 15 minutes for the walk from the carpark to the planting site (~600m).\n\n\n\nPlease bring: gloves\, sturdy footwear\, long pants\, and a long-sleeved (sun-smart) shirt. Also\, bring friends and drinking water!\n\n\n Tree planting involves digging\, bending and walking on uneven ground so you will need good physical fitness and mobility.
