DESCRIPTION:ENVIRONMENT CIRCLE 2025\n\n\n\n\n\nDATE  \n\nThursday 17 July\n\n\n  TIME \n\n5.00 – 6.30 pm\n\n\nVENUE\n \nSorrento Portsea RSL\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Dirk Jansen \nDirk Jansen is the founder and President of the Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation group\, established in 2018\, to highlight the challenges koalas face on the Mornington Peninsula. \nTopic: Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation \nDirk’s leadership experience in project and change management at Monash University has helped to grow the group’s efforts year on year. To date more than 80\,000 plants have been planted across the MP\, with a target of planting 250\,000 plants by 2030. \nDirk has lived in Rosebud for many years\, close to Arthurs Seat State Park\, where he regularly sees koalas and observes the challenges they face in an increasing urbanised environment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOST: $5.00 donation  \nJoin us at 6.30 for a meal in the RSL Thai Restaurant \nEnvironment Circle meets third Thursday February to December 2025 \nPlease RSVP re dinner at Thai Restaurant\n\n\n\n
